The "club house", your housing during sculling lessons, is very cozy and casual. The house was built in 1937 and has been meticulously maintained over the years. Recent renovations include central air and updated bathrooms. Be prepared for curious little closets under the eaves and interesting windows tucked here and there at random. All rowers will have a private room to themselves. Towels, etc. will be provided, but please bring any necessary toiletries, robes, shower shoes, etc. that you may need.
The living room and TV, Concept II erg,, patio and river front lounge chairs are open and available for all to share. Read a book, grab a board game or a deck of cards. WiFi is available if you care to bring a laptop. We are VERY easy to get to. We are just minutes from two main interstates. Non rowing spouses can find a lot to do in this beautiful area. We're close to shopping, state parks, golf, antiques and restaurants.
The house is located on a secluded stretch of the Susquehanna River. You will rarely find a more beautiful, peaceful area for rowing scull. The river is straight and shallow enough that power boat traffic is virtually nonexistent. Our camp is unique in that you can step out the back door and walk right to the dock where your rowing shell is waiting! Or just sit on the dock after sundown and listen to the water - nothing more peaceful!
We are located on Route 15, just south of Route 80. We are located 5 miles south of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and 5 miles north of Selinsgrove. If you are looking for charming and quaint - you've found it in these two small towns. See link for Visitors Bureau information.
We look forward to rowing scull with you!
