Hello and welcome to River Breeze Rowing Camp. Here at our location along the beautiful Susquehanna River in Central Pennsylvania, we strive to provide quality rowing lessons and a one of a kind rowing experience for Adult Rowers of all levels. ( If you'd like to row with your well behaved teens for a family event - welcome!)
If you are passionate about sculling, or would like to develop a new skill, you're invited to join us for sessions of all inclusive training from two of the top coaches in the sport. Yes, you will recieve training and stroke analysis from both world class coaches. In addition, beautiful riverside accomodations are included at no additional charge. Unlike many of the other camps, your accomodations are truly "riverside". Whether you're a beginner, recreational rower or experienced racer, our elite coaches, Charlotte Hollings and John Dunn will design a program to fit your needs. Our rowing lessons take place in small groups to allow for a personalized experience and rapid improvement. Keep in mind when choosing a camp, the importance of the personalized coaching experience. There will never be a coach subsititution. Your two coaches Charlotte and John live on the premises and are always available to pick their brains for rowing tips - or to just tell a great rowing story.
If you love rowing, this is your ultimate sculling vacation! Training rows are scheduled three times a day - so you'll get in about 4 hours of rowing a day - though the third row is optional if you'd rather relax and enjoy the scenery! Video will be taken at the start of each session and will be reviewed as a learning experience. Detailed comparisons to the stroke of top olympic racers will also be made. You will be amazed at the in depth understanding of sculling you will acquire. Even if you are a beginner, learning to love this wonderful sport, relax and enjoy, we are very patient and will gear intensity to your abilities. Some of our boats are virtually untippable :-)
Accommodations, catered breakfast and catered lunch are provided. Dinner is on your own - eat in beautiful Lewisburg at a bistro, order a pizza or just microwave up a gourmet frozen meal provided at no charge in the freezer and just relax on the patio overlooking the river. If you enjoy sightseeing or love to antique shop, this area has it all. We are located only 3 miles from Lewisburg, voted one of the top towns in the USA and the home of Bucknell University. Market Street is full of shops and boutiques, and several antique stores are located in town.
We provide rowing shells (singles) for your use. From open water to sleek racers- we have a variety of shells - represented manufacturers are Peinert, Maas, Wintech, and Concept 2, If you're thinking of buying a boat someday, this may be an excellent opportunity to try a few different types. Or, if you prefer to bring your own boat, that is fine with us. Many of our shells will be available for purchase at seasons end.
